House Rules

We are grateful to offer these homes for your use and we hope your living experience here will be pleasing and comfortable. Your support as a Resident is necessary for us to maintain the houses for future occupants.

This set of rules is part of your rental agreement.

Act Respectable

  • No illegal activities are allowed.

  • Cooperate with the other residents regarding activities and responsibilities.

  • Resolve disputes in a calm and positive manner. No violent or obnoxious behavior will be tolerated.

  • Be considerate of the other Residents.

Be a good neighbor

  • Make reasonable efforts to maintain positive relationships with the neighbors in the homes around you.

  • Be conscious of noise. No loud music, especially between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am.

  • Each resident may have no more than one car at the house and shall park in the driveway only.

  • Guests may park on the street, but not in front of neighbor’s homes. No parking on the grass at any time.

  • Keep the yards, driveway, porches and decks free of debris and clutter.

Take care of the Property

  • Collect and dispose of trash promptly and properly and keep the home clean. Set trash container by the street weekly.

  • Absolutely no pets of any kind are allowed in the house or yard (even temporarily) without the specific written permission of the Owner. Should a pet be allowed, additional rent and additional security deposit may be required.

  • Close all windows and doors when leaving in case of inclement weather. Keep screens furnished by the Owner in place.

  • Keep the doors and windows locked at night and whenever everyone is gone.

  • Do not store any volatile chemicals in the house. Gasoline or lighter fluid may be stored in the garage.

  • Do not paint or refinish any part of the premises without the permission of the Owner.

  • Notify the Owner immediately regarding any maintenance needs. caleb@aboost.org  or 678-710-4851

  • The Owners will make inspections as they deem appropriate. Any damage to the home or necessary domestic cleaning will be billed to the residents and due immediately.

  • No smoking is allowed in any part of the house at any time. Smoking outside is allowed but butts must be disposed of properly.

  • If you use the common areas leave them better than you found them.  Do not store personal items in the common spaces.

  • If you don’t have time to clean your mess at the time of use, don’t use the kitchen. The kitchen must always be ready for other residents.

Other Concerns

  • The Owners will provide a replacement key for a minimal charge during daylight hours. After hours requests will be $30.

  • Residents are responsible for the actions of their guests and for their compliance with these rules.

  • No guest may stay more than 2 nights in a single week without specific written permission from the Owner. Courtesy dictates that overnight stays be approved by the other residents in advance, or a general understanding be reached between residents.

  • Residents may not give keys, garage openers or entry codes to guests.   Guests may not be left at the house unattended.

  • Residents may not remove any plants from the yard, or add any new plants without the Owner’s written approval.

  • The Owner’s insurance covers the house only, and not Residents’ personal property. Each Resident should obtain renters insurance to cover the loss of their belongings. The Owner is not liable for loss to Resident personal property.

  • Smoke detectors are provided and should be checked monthly by the Residents. Notify the Owner if they are not functional.
